The most common dreams

Every list of common dreams you've read was written once and never checked again. This one is ranked live, from real dreams, and it changes as the world's dreaming changes.

Figures blend the live graph with a labelled research baseline while the graph grows. We show you real numbers, not estimates dressed up as certainty.

Why we all dream the same things

Dream content is stranger than waking life, but it isn't random. The same themes surface across cultures, decades and continents with remarkable consistency - chases, falls, water, teeth, exams we didn't study for. These dreams don't belong to any one of us. They belong to all of us. That's exactly what makes them worth counting.

How this ranking works

Each dream logged to Dreamgraph is read once, privately, to identify the themes it included, then counted anonymously into the graph. No dream text appears on this page - only the pattern thousands of dreams make together.

Questions

What is the most common dream?

The ranking above is the live answer, and it can change. Being chased, falling, and exams we didn't prepare for sit reliably near the top of dream research worldwide - the graph tracks whether that holds night by night.

Why do so many people have the same dreams?

Nobody fully knows, and Dreamgraph doesn't pretend to. What's certain is that the overlap is real and consistent - and now it's being measured.

Are the most common dreams the same around the world?

Research says remarkably so. The graph is measuring it live, city by city, for the first time.
